The H wagons have a long history with the VR, the first versions being constructed in the 1850's.
This version represents a batch delivered around the turn of the century with a Gable roof.. The H's were a general purpose freight van and hundreds were built over the years. In later life they were used as departmental wagons, quite often as loco vans in regional depots.
This kit requires separate purchase of a Steam Era Models 10'6 chassis.
